Who says you can’t have your water – and eat it, too?!

 

According to the Institute of Medicine’s recommendations, we should all eat 20% of our daily water intake. Yoghurt, oatmeal and soup are all great fluid-filled foods, but these summer-friendly fruits and vegetables can also help with hydration.

 

Whenever you’re feeling thirsty this summer, be sure to pile these on your plate!

Ten foods and drinks that help you stay hydrated

Foods:

  1. Watermelon
  2. Celery
  3. Cucumber
  4. Strawberries
  5. Lettuce

Drinks:

  1. Skim or fat-free milk
  2. Smoothies
  3. Sports drinks
  4. Coconut water
  5. Coffee
