I used to view my spirituality as a quirky secret that I had to hide. Today, with the rise of mainstream yoga, mass meditation, boho fashion and crystal jewelry, I know that spirituality is something beautiful to embrace and practise every day.

#1: Use aromatherapy
Any self-respecting person likes to smell good. Scents such as thyme, citrus, rose and lavender smell gorgeous and have holistic benefits that can help heal or lift your spirits. The easiest way to use these scents is in the form of essential oils. Simply apply the oil to your pulse points, to a pre-bedtime bath, or to your pillowcase before you head off to sleep.

Thanks to the number of open-minded fitness and well-being junkies, yoga has never been more popular or accessible. Gone are the days when older ladies in the office thought you were talking openly about your bedroom antics when you mention the downward-facing dog.
