Soak your sore body in an Epsom salt bath for instant pain relief

Epsom salt contains magnesium sulfate, which sounds kind of scary, but it’s really quite a wonderful substance! A naturally occurring mineral, magnesium sulfate has been used to get relief from all sorts of pain for years now by many different cultures.

Magnesium sulfate is especially helpful at easing muscle and joint pain thanks to its very high levels of magnesium. That’s why taking an Epsom salt bath is such a great way to soothe your paining body! Here’s how to do it.

How to take an Epsom salt bath

You’ll need:

  • 2 cups Epsom salt
  • 6-8 drops lavender essential oil

Directions:

  1. Fill your bath with warm water and then add the salt and lavender oil.
  2. Stir the salt and lavender oil around in the water, and then hop right on in.
  3. Soak for at least 20 minutes.

I recommend taking an Epsom salt bath at least once every two weeks to restore your body’s magnesium levels and help treat and prevent muscle and joint stiffness.
