Summer bodies are made in winter… Am I right? And, with spring already here, there’s little time left to slim down for the long-awaited sunny season!

 

It’s time to get your blender out and try these five nutrient-rich (and downright delicious!) vegetable smoothies.

Five healthy and delicious veggie smoothie recipes

#1: Spinach and pineapple

  • 1 pear
  • 1/2 cup pineapple
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1-2 celery sticks
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 cup coconut water

#2: Beetroot and strawberry

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 raw beetroot, peeled (shredded if you don’t have a high-speed blender)
  • 2 tbsp dried goji berries
  • 2 tbsp pomegranate seeds
  • 2 dates, pitted
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • Pinch of ground vanilla

#3: Cucumber and celery

  • 1 small cucumber
  • 2.5 cm fresh ginger root
  • 2 celery sticks
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1 tbsp almond butter

#4: Kale and coconut

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 4 cups kale (stems removed)
  • 2 tbsp ground flax
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk

#5: Avocado and apple

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 green apple, chopped
  • 1 cup kale (stems removed)
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1/2 cup green grapes
  • 2 tbsp raw meal powder
  • 1 cup apple juice
