The best budget-friendly fragrances this season

We all know how much cash we have to splash out in order to purchase the smallest bottle of our favourite eau de toilette. However, we often tend to look past all of the other lower-end fragrances on the market, such as colognes, body mists and body sprays. Here’s my list of this season’s best and most affordable fragrances that are guaranteed to keep you smelling gorgeous all winter long!

Chanel No. 5
There’s something about pairing a spritz of this timeless fragrance with a red lip that screams elegance. This famous fragrance is now available in a cologne as well as a body spray, so there’s no longer a need to keep collecting those bulky bottles!

The Body Shop Madagascan Vanilla
Oh my days, this fragrance is just amazing! This sweet vanilla fragrance is my every go-to fragrance.

Victoria’s Secret Tease
If you’re looking for something that smells exactly like Juicy Couture’s popular Viva la Juicy, then look no further.

Gourmet Delights Coconut Marshmallow
This delicious fragrance smells like cupcakes and coconuts! I love it! Sweet and girly, and perfect to pop into your handbag.

Gourmet Delights Champagne Macaroon
If you prefer floral notes, then this one is for you.

The Body Shop Strawberry Body Mist
If you love the body butter, then you’re bound to love this body mist! Super long-lasting and absolutely gorgeous all-year-round fragrance.

Oh So Heavenly Strawberry Kisses
For the price tag, this is one hell of a deal! This baby has a classic vanilla pod scent with brown sugar undertones.

Victoria’s Secret Bombshell
I love the glittery body spray that this comes in that this can be used on your body and in your hair. A truly sexy scent.

Flawless skin, bold brows and nude lips

Hi lovelies!

To freshen things up, I thought I’d write a post on a few of my best-kept beauty secrets and give you the scoop on a few of my new favourite products! These tips will help you achieve a flawless golden complexion with strong contouring and glimmering highlights, bold brows and nude lips. Hope you enjoy!

Prepping your skin prior to any make-up application is key! I use two spritzes of my MAC Fix + Spray with an almond-size amount of my Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Primer.

My favourite concealer to date is my MAC Mineralize Concealer – I just love it! I conceal all of my spots and problem areas or blemishes as well as under my eyes and above my cheekbones prior to applying my foundation.

I recently purchased the most divine pointed foundation brush from Beautique which I now love to use to start applying my foundation. I use this lovely soft brush to apply an even layer of my beloved MAC Studio Fix Fluid all over my face as well as down my jawline into my neck and chest area. I then use my MAC stipple foundation brush to add more coverage to areas that require it such as my forehead, cheeks and chin. During the summer, I finish off my foundation application with a dusting of my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powder to avoid shiny skin throughout the day or night.

Sometimes I like to add a dash of MAC Strobe Cream to my foundation to create an all-over radiance, but most times I prefer using my index finger to apply my Inglot Face and Body Illuminator to areas such as my temples and Cupid’s bow. Using a contouring brush, I also love adding even more radiance above my cheekbones with a hint of my MAC Trace Gold Shimmer Blush. A light dusting of this blush down the bridge of the nose and in the centre of the chin also gives the face great dimension!

Using a generous amount of my MAC Bronzing Powder on a contour brush, I always make sure to contour under my cheekbones to achieve that gorgeous high cheekbone illusion. The bronzing powder can be substituted with any matte face powder that is 4-5 shades darker than your natural skin tone.

Eyebrows are such a huge part of my make-up routine! After brushing my brows neatly into place, I use my MAC Mystery brow powder and a flat angled liquid liner brush to softly brush some colour through my brows. I then use my newfound love, my MAC Lingering Eyebrow Pencil, to define, darken and thicken my brows to perfection! This pencil is a real gem and can make the finest brows look bold and defined in minutes. However, you need be careful with it – this pencil tends to look grey when used over a foundation, so what I do is avoid applying foundation close to my brows. After using this magical pencil, I usually go back to my pointed foundation brush and even my foundation out around my newly-created eyebrow shape.

So, we all say we hate concealer lips, but do we really? I love adding a dabbing of concealer to my lips followed by a simple nude lip balm such as The Body Shop Chocomania Lip Butter. This is a quick and easy way to create a nude lip colour without having to use a nude lipstick.
